We heart Ms. Wash!
Lily has been thriving at Washington Elementary School. She loves her friends, the monkey bars, the homework assignments, the centers work, the "cafetorium," the physical education, her after school Spanish class, the gardening program and the woodsy play ground....but she ADORES Ms. Wash. Ms. Wash is sassy but sweet, energetic yet calm, gentle yet firm, and hilarious yet grounded. She also knows the lyrics to every Frozen song.
These days....
Given the end of the school year craziness, the intricate working on an active landslide logistics, the selling of a home stress, and the sweet intensity of living with your folks when you are in your late thirties, we sometimes find ourselves going a little bonkers. Ice cream on Solano Avenue does wonders.

Fisherman's Wharf with Nana and Papa
Brian was out of town. It was rainy. It was super cozy. Apparently, the day wore Lily and I out.
