Wise River!

This is how we roll....

Papa taught Lily how to fly fish!

Heading out to fish on the Wise River

Bailey allowed Lily a cuddle on her couch...

"Rafting is awesome!"

Our boater/prairie chick

There is a slight chance that Papa lost his hat in the rapids. He was reluctant to wear Mama's purple bandana at first, but then the 90 weather got to him.

Very pleased with the day!

Our daily game of "Sleeping Queens" after dessert. Nana was very tolerant of the numerous and arbitrary rules of the game.

We found a garden fairy frolicking in the sprinklers! She must have taken off her wings so they didn't get wet...

(Couldn't manage to lump this picture in with the rafting ones. Oops.)

Panning for gold!

Dada taught Lily how to shoot some pool
Lily visits Bannack! It was for this reason that Lily packed a few bonnets.

Hitting the road!

We decided to visit Nana and Papa in Wise River, via Portland and Missoula.

Here we are, frolicking on a beach, almost near the California-Oregon border.

Lily writes poetry in the car!

Stopping at Voodoo donuts in Eugene was a must! We should mention that we will always have a special place in our hearts for Colonial on Lakeshore.

Bailey has become a cafe dog!

We introduced Lily to the university where Steve Prefontaine made it big.

As per Maegan's suggestion, we visited Washington Park, in Portland. Between the roses, the Japanese garden, the lawns and the fairy potential, Lily LOVED it there.

Swimming in all of the hotel pools is always a treat!

We were curious about this USGS site in Washington.

Our hotel sleeping arrangements.

Brian kayaks on the Clark Fork, in Missoula (which is where Brian and I have decided we are going to retire- we cannot seem to get enough of the town's outdoor adventures, dining, architecture, recreation and general feel ).

Bailey gets her first taste of swimming! Let's just say she tolerated it.

Pepere Visits!

And we had a cozy, wonderful time.

Lily turns seven!
