Lily got to bring in the new year with her good friends, Sarah and Karoline. We celebrated with fondue and spark-less sparklers. Our countdown started at 8:59. The girls were asleep by 9:30. It was a sweet night.

Lily Skis!
We spent part of the holidays in Yosemite. Given the powdery snow and the clear skies, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to hit the slopes! Here you see Lily on her very first trip. She was such a natural-so focused and calm.
She's got the stoke! |
Mama forgot that she is deathly afraid of heights and barely let Lily turn around to smile at Dad. Lily later asked that she only ride up the mountain with Brian in the future. |
Who doesn't love the smooshed-ready-for-snow face? |
Lunch in the Badger Pass Lodge-Lily and Brian would have skied right through to "last chair" if it weren't for Mama |
It was getting late but Lily never ran out of steam... |
Until the bus ride back into the valley. |

Holiday Classic
It's so neat to see how the act of making cookies with Lily has really changed over the years. She is so independent (and clean) now! We still listen to the Nutcracker-that will never change!

She's a Believer...
When Santa asked Lily what she would like, she said "a surprise." Santa then said "I'm good with surprises."
The Christmas Tree Star
Lily calls Pepere every year just before we decorate the tree. She always asks him who should be the one to place the star in the top. We decided to be super inclusive this year and we all took a stab at it.
