Mama's book report

At King Middle School, the teachers decided to post a wall of our favorite books, complete with pictures and little book reports. Lily decided to help out with the project.

Lovejoy's

To celebrate Nana's birthday, our dear friend, Lynn put together a celebration at Lovejoy's in San Francisco. We had a real life tea party, complete with petite fours and crust less sandwiches. Lily drank her tea with her pinky held high. It was an adorable afternoon.

Escrow!

Though Lily desperately wants to paint her new room light blue and move her bunk beds in, she has been very patient. For now, she is content drawing pictures of the house to hang in her room at Nana and Papa's.

Dada turns 41!

And it is no surprise that we ended up at Fentons with the Gitters!

Reunited!

And it feels so good!

Lily has been patiently waiting for Nana and Papa to return home from Montana.

And we have a home!

We have been trying to buy a home for a half a year. We've literally been placing bid after bid. Until last week, we have always been out bid by someone offering hundreds of thousands over us and all cash. Between the bidding, the meetings with contractors, the hopeful nights before bids are due and the devastating days following- it has been an emotional roller coaster! The good news is that we've finally got a home (a sweet bungalow in Albany with an adorable yard and great walkability) AND we've thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Nana's and Papa's. It will actually be very hard to leave..... It will be difficult getting used  to cooking dinners again (Nana has been spoiling us). Lily won't be able to crawl into her grandparent's bed at six in the morning anymore. Bailey won't discreetly be getting Papa's dinner left overs under the table.

Still a Gearhead...

Just a different kind.

Little Benny is now officially Big Benny!

And the cousins got together to celebrate.

First Grade!?!)$$?!@

Success! Lily monkey-barred, she socialized, she worked on "number bonds" and her table group even won a luncheon with their teacher.
