The Box

Bailey has been potty trained for months. Given that our back yard is so far away from our unit, we thought we'd now try box training her so that going potty doesn't need to be such a schlep (she could just go in the box on the porch, off our kitchen). Here you see a very patient puppy mama... "Bailey, you can do this. You are a very smart girl." So far, Bailey has just eaten a lot of mulch.

Date Night

Brian was away for work. Lily put in a request to bond over dinner.... so we ate with her in my lap!

New shoes for PE....

Sometimes it is fun to try new things out-

Whether it is a new walk, a new laugh or a new smile, Lily has given it a try!

We are not quite sure what is going on with Bailey and her eyes in our photos. Between her eyes and her hair-do, it looks like she put her paw in a socket.

The simple things...

Lily (with her homemade tin foil headband) was pretty darn stoked about the cookie dough batter.

Walks with Bailey

Lily is always tired from her day in Kindergarten and ready for her nap, Bailey is restless from being at home alone...the afternoon walks always keep me on my toes.

Brushstrokes

Lily and I frequent Brushstrokes, a sweet little pottery studio in Berkeley. We bond. We have snacks. We paint pottery (well, mostly she paints and I watch her delicate focus and incredible perseverance). Here you see her working on a feeding bowl for Bailey.
