Fort Funston, who knew?

A work-less, pigtail-less, sock-less, leash-less kind of day. It was wonderfully refreshing.

Lily gets a cavity (or two) filled at the dentist...

We spent a week trying to prep Lily for the big day ("it will hurt a little that afternoon" and "did you know they use a drill ?")....nothing phased her! We think she was just stoked to see Doctor Nick.

Cousin Cuteness!

Thank you to the Sablinskys for the delicious meal, the beautiful decorations, the songs and the sweet company!

Cozying up with Nana on Christmas morning

Homemade headband!

Not only did Lily make the band herself, she also placed it carefully on her head herself :)

Whoever said "diamonds are a girls best friend..."

Christmas Fantasy in Tilden

Gearing up!

Stoked, obviously.

Selfie!

The Gitters

Sheer delight

No words...

Makin' cookies with Nana and Papa!

The kitchen was dusted with sugar, the sprinkle balls were rolling under toesies and Lily was happier than ever.

Mama's famous home haircuts....

When will I realize it is important to leave a margin of error?

It's a good thing Lily is adorable no matter what...

Layers!

Coming from New England, Brian laughs when Lily and I say "it's freezing..." well, this week, it actually has been! Here you see Lily (complete with a few pairs if pants and a couple of dresses) walking to school in 37 degree weather!

Memere Visits!

And there is definitely a family resemblance...

Twinsies! There is a slight chance that I ran and got my beige sweater to match Memere's....

They have a lot to catch up on.

Bailey is on her way to getting better!

Somehow, we managed to get get a little pup, also with "special lungs."  After her Bronchoscopy, it was determined that Bailey had a nasty infection in her lungs.  We are waiting for the results of her biopsy and hoping to get her on new antibiotics in a few days. Though it has been obvious that she has been suffering a bit, she has been a total trooper- she is always wagging her tail and excited to be a part if us and our doings. We are hoping for a full recovery in a couple of weeks.

My "Mama Minute"

Every once in a while, I take a "Mama Minute-" behind a shut door, I get to dress (without having my socks and panties stolen... and chewed) and use the restroom (without needing to read Ivy and Bean while peeing).

Bailey Bronchoscopy Blues

Since we adopted Bailey four months ago, she's had a bad cough . She coughs when she exerts herself, she coughs when she eats and she even coughs when her throat is touched. Tomorrow, we are taking her in to have a little procedure done to figure out the problem. We are keeping our fingers (and paws) crossed that it isn't too big of a deal. She is totally part of our family now. We love her dearly.

Bandana Babies!

Again, Bailey is a very tolerant pup. Thanks for putting up with us, little lovie.

Lil and Zozo...

Halloween 2013

Lily was a flower fairy, of course.

Lily and Zoe

Lily and Zoe became fast friends immediately after meeting in room 106.  They are delightful to watch together- they are always purring, holding hands and looking for twigs to build fairy homes. Oh, they also are fans of taking a couple hundred pictures on my phone whenever I leave it around...

New rules to protect CF patients...

To protect Lily from the dangerous bugs that Cystic Fibrosis patients can pass to each other, Lily now has to wear a mask for every one of her CF clinics (starting in the car in the Kaiser parking lot).  I was a little nervous about how she would handle the new rule and the stares- a simple mask buddy and a picture of Minnie Mouse made the process totally smooth.

We are very much in the "homework is awesome" phase

We are not sure how long this phase will last but we are sure enjoying it!
