It wouldn't be a proper Christmas visit with Memere without....

WHOOPIE PIES! Lily was super excited to be able to spend a belated Christmas with Memere. Once she found out that she was not only going to be able to bond with Memere, but that they could bond over Memere's famous Whoopie Pies, she was beside herself. Thank you for a super (sweet) visit, Memere!

Stripes + Tutu = A Very Happy Lily!

For Christmas, Memere enrolled Lily in a semester long modern dance course! Lily adores her teacher, her new friends, the tutus, the music, and the moves. Following her class, Lily looks forward to "skyping" with Memere- explaining (and showing) everything she learned that day. A thank you and a curtsey to you, Memere!

When Lily and Papa play...

I get a mini heart attack upon returning home from school... but then I see their brilliant smiles (and it's all good in the hood).

We're getting creative...

with the ways that we cuddle with Lily while reading books ... she's huge!

Independence...

Lily can now get herself dressed. Every morning, Lily surprises us with her outfit selection. Lily was so proud of this particular compilation (complete with 5 hair clips), that she simply had to admire herself in our mirror for a couple of moments.

Even with the independence, we're pleased that she still puts paisley print together with stripes and flowers.

Little Lily's Lovely Dress

Auntie Janet knit Lily a beautiful dress for Christmas. It has pockets, it is a warm sunny color and it has wooden heart buttons. Lily adores it. If she had her way, she'd not ony wear it every day, but also in bed and in the bath.
