Tahoe, Summer 2010

Lily continues to be a big help!

Here she is helping us make whipped cream for the fruit cobbler.

Lily's New Pad!

Papa just finished restoring Lara and Auntie Hilary's childhood tree house (complete with a lunch basket on a pully and a lookout window). Lily's tea parties will now go to a whole new level! Thanks, Papa!

Just another one of Lily's arrangements..

Lily stills loves to set up little parties with all of her furry friends. It always takes about an hour to get everything "just so" (chairs at the right angles, dolls with the right posture, tea cups in hand, ya ya ya). She is such a busy, happy little person.

The Terrific Twos!

Who ever said that two years olds are terrible acting??? Lily is trying very hard to be helpful- she helps around the house (dusting, sweeping, loading clothes from the washing machine into the dryer, putting her toys away), she helps administer her treatments and she helps with all of our friends' new babies (watching over them while moms chit chat, singing, rocking, thowing diapers away, even offering advice). Brian and I both agree that this is the most sweet stage ever. Though Lily was an absolute pleasure to be around as a baby, the stages just get better and better!

Two Cross-Legged Cuties in a Caboose

Lily is just soaking up her time with her girlfriends this summer. She loves sharing stories, silly faces and snacks. It is crazy how much she grows in a single afternoon with her friends- she is always inspired to share, be patient and to better communicate. It is such a pleasure to watch. Here she is with Taylor ("Tay Tay") on the train at Children's Fairyland.

Lily's New Rocker!

Thank goodness for cool garage sales in Crocker Highlands!

Sometimes Lily wakes up too early...

Whether from the "Gar-gar" truck or from Mama banging too many pots and pans around in the kitchen, sorry Sweets. Lily recovers quite fast, of course, and becomes delightful and energetic in a matter of seconds.
