Lily is no longer a vegetarian!

Lily had chicken for dinner tonight (mashed up with Butternut squash). She enjoyed it.

I want to give her flank steak (not mashed, with baked potatoes, sour cream, corn on the cobb and creme brulee) tomorrow night, but Brian insists that we have to wait a couple of days.

Lily's first birthday party!

Little Lily's friend and neighbor, Big Julian, turned two this week. Lily enjoyed his birthday celebration in Aquatic Park yesterday. She especially enjoyed the bug hunt with the bug goggles!

Brian had field research to do in Ventura, so his girls decided to tag along for the ride, the

sun, and the sand. Cara and Patrick took Lily to Nature's Grill, of course. (There is a slight chance that Lara and Lily returned there for a meal every day of the trip!) The Collins' decided to drive home along the coast. Along the way, they stopped in San Luis Obisbo to visit with the Moss family. Over breakfast, little Conrad taught Lily all about numbers through his connect the dots game. The massive, gorgeous trees and views of Big Sur wore Lily out and she slept for the entire drive home.
