Auntie Janet gratiously knit everyone in the family beautiful scarves, hats or sweaters for Christmas. Lily absolutely adores her new outfit.

She also adores singing in her new outfit (notice the open mouth in every picture).

Lily and Ella experienced some tender moments this past weekend. Ella shared all of her toys and Lily shared a bunch of cuddles. It was so wonderful to witness.

I left for just three minutes to unload groceries and I returned to the car to find Brian and Lily snoring their hearts away!

Lily Loves Celina.

Lily just adores her wonderful nanny, Celina. They sing, read, cuddle and have a ton of inside jokes with each other. Lily learned her very first word (besides Mama and Dada) from Celina, "agua." Lily's voice is normally pretty deep and raspy- when she says "agua," however, she says it like a pretty bird, because that is how Celina sounds.

We are very sad to be loosing Celina this winter as she is moving back to Mexico to be with her family. Thank goodness for computer cameras.

Inspiration Point, November 2009

Lily, Brian, Lara and their close friends (and newlyweds) Lizzie and Drew spent last weekend hiking and picnicking in Tilden park at Inspiration Point. The weather was perfect, the food was dee-lish and the conversation was wonderful.

As a part of their wedding registry, Lizzie and Drew graciously requested that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Lily was super stoked about this and to see that Drew was wearing his "Team Lily" shirt for the outing.

An entire night with Nanna and Grandpa!

Lily has now spent the night with Nanna and Grandpa on several occasions. Every time, Mama and Dada drag out the goodbyes (knowing how much they are going to miss her) and Lily just tries to wave them away as if to say "let the party start!"

She came up with it on her own. It was a fun morning. We of course had the heater up full blast.

Brian and I aren't quite ready to face the fact that Lily is a big girl and

already in need of her first hair cut. Until we toughen up a tad, she will have to borrow Pebbles' look.

Baba's Physical Therapy Treatment

Now that I am back teaching, Brian and I had a couple of months where our health insurance policies overlapped. We decided to take advantage and purchase Lily's physical therapy machine. She will need a new vest every couple of years, but the machine that runs the vest will be hers for life. At this time, the contraption is still quite scary for her. Until the machine is less intimidating, "Baba" will get his treatments with the vest and Lily will continue to get the manual therapy.

The minute Mama comes home from work, Lily turns on her CD player and the two have a dance party. This is Lily's latest favorite move. On a super crazy and wild day, she'll add funky chicken arm motions!

October 17th, 2009- Dracena Park. Loads of giggles, hand holding and kind sharing. Not only did Lily have an absolute blast, she was pretty stoked to be able to be a part of Audrey's first hot dog experience.

Every morning before Dad leaves for work, Lily helps him check the local traffic updates on "SigAlert." Even when the freeways look fast and clear, Lily convinces Dad to stay and cuddle just a little longer.

Lily is still very much in the hat phase of her life.

Lily's new rule: MUST WEAR HATS AT ALL TIMES! Just this week, Lily has started to insist that before she do anything (like kiss mama, go to a concert with Dad and her uncles Dan and Jereme, spoon herself some applesauce, feed a goat or say the plege of allegiance), she must first put a hat (any hat) on. Some kids have security blankets. Lily has security caps.
