Lily's security binkie, part deux!

Outing in the park with a bunch of cute babies!

Brian and I took a husband-coached birthing class this past Spring. Just yesterday, we had a reunion with the three other couples in the class (along with their adorable kiddos) and our teacher in Joaquin Miller park. We couldn't resist taking the classic "squirmy babies lined up on a blanket" photo. This one is entitled "Graham and the Ladies." The little ladies being Isa, Lily and Hope.

Happy Birthday Brian!

Lily proposed that we celebrate Brian's big day Juan's style. She's a big fan of their festive ambiance and we're big fans of their shrimp quesadillas and strawberry margaritas. Our friend, Tanja (a mama futura), shares a birthday with Brian. When it was time for cake, the entire restaurant broke into song for the two of them!

La Petite Princess

on her moon...

Lily and her security blanket...I mean binkie

It is difficult not to project and feel that the pacifier would drive Lily crazy jabbing her in the lip. Everytime I tried to remove it however, Lily opened up a single eye and gave me the "Mama don't you dare" look. It's your call, Lilybug!

Genes are funny things...

Both Lily and Brian sleep with their arms raised above their heads, folded at right angles. And, as Lily's Pepere Collins just let us know... so does he! Also, I'm fairly certain Lily's lovely little drooling habit comes from me.

More Bath Time

We don't think Lily would like to admit it, but we think she enjoys those nightly suds! Any time we turn our heads, she's able to squeeze in a splash and a squeal.

Lily does Japan! Sort of...

Some months ago, we thought we might take Lily to Japan this coming November as part of a conference that I (Brian) was planning on attending. But plans change and life gets busy... and now we will have to wait until another time to visit Japan. But we thought a nice compromise might be having a look-see at the beautiful Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco... here is the photo-documentary of our adventure!

We're going where?!!!!

Wiped out!

Lily picks up a ball!

She was pleased with herself. We were pleased with her. It was wonderful.

Lily and Audrey

Lily has a friend named Audrey. Audrey is just three weeks older than Lily. Lara has been good friend's with Audrey's mom, Leah, since high school. Leah and Lara both teach math next door to each other at King Middle School. They were lucky to be able to share all of their pregnancy experiences together. Lily and Audrey share the same favorite word...."hah-poooo."

Lily got a new sweater....

and she looks (shockingly?) good!

Family Photo

It is always fun to make a Lily sandwich.

Good Morning Sunshine!

Lily is so fresh and alert in the morning! Here Lily is bonding will Ariel over pancakes and smoothies.

Many Emotions, Just One Sitting

Lily went from sour, to confused, to pissed, to relaxed in just seconds. It was a lot of fun to be a part of.

Up Close and Personal

Our friend (and Eric's girlfriend), Lisa, is a photographer and took some great photos of the Lilybug. Her little hands are so delicate with so much expression! I'm convinced they are perfect for ballet...Brian swears you need the same grace for rock climbing. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Lily's Daily Physical Therapy

Twice daily, we have to "percuss" Lily to shake loose any mucus that might be lingering around in her lungs. As long as she has her green plug (her binky?) in her mouth, she handles the treatment quite well. It has even put her to sleep on several occasions!

We love this photo...thanks for representing our hood Lily! Word.

One happy kiddo!

It is getting difficult for us to get anything done around our home these days...Lily loves to make funny faces with us, while "coo"ing and gurgling. It's the best. Who needs clean laundry
anyways?

Welcome Uncle Eric and Lisa!

Uncle Eric and Lisa came to meet the Lily Bug this week. They flew all the way from the Garden State. It was Lisa who predicted Lily's early arrival (along with Lara's colleague, Mya). Lily is amazed by how fast Eric can lull her to sleep with his deep voice and soothing chest vibrations.... perhaps Eric would be interested in taking on one of the night shifts?
